Scholarships

Admitted UMKC students are considered for a range of automatic scholarships. In addition, there are a variety of competitive scholarships available for incoming and current students.

Grants

Grants from the federal and state government, as well as UMKC, are available to help you finance your education. Most grants are available only to undergraduate students working on their first bachelor’s degree.

Work-Study

The Federal Work-Study program provides funding for part-time, on- and off-campus jobs for eligible undergraduate and graduate students.

Loans

Student loans are borrowed money that must be repaid with interest. Sources of loans include the federal government, state government and UMKC. Additionally, credit-based loans are offered through a variety of banks and other lenders.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

File your FAFSA anytime between December 1, when the application opens, through February 1, our priority deadline, to discover your financial aid eligibility. You must file a FAFSA every year you're enrolled. Use UMKC FAFSA code 002518.
