We offer resources for students who have encountered unexpected financial obstacles, particularly those that may hinder completing their degree.

More Aid Opportunities

Parents

Your student may be eligible for grants, scholarships and student loans to assist with costs while attending UMKC. In addition, you may be eligible to borrow loans to help your dependent student pay for college.

Veterans

There are several student aid programs for veterans and their dependents. You may also be eligible for specific military benefits and services.

Missouri residents

Residents of the State of Missouri may be eligible for scholarships, loans and grants from state organizations.

UMKC employees

UMKC supports employees who want to continue their education. Faculty and staff who pursue or continue their college education — and their eligible spouses and dependents — can receive assistance at any of the universities within the UM System.

International students

There is a range of scholarships and private loans available to international students. Some international students may also be eligible for other types of aid.

Study Abroad

With careful program selection and planning, anyone can afford to gain international experience through Study Abroad.

Residency Rates

We offer in-state and discounted tuition rates for students who qualify, including residents of Kansas, the Heartland and former members of the military.
