Undergraduate Scholarship Qualifications for 2023

We've updated our automatic scholarships for incoming first-time college and transfer students, and added a new scholarship that provides in-state tuition for eligible students from all 50 states. All this starts in Fall 2023!

First-Time College Students

Automatic scholarships will be awarded based on ACT scores or high school core GPA, as well as other qualifying criteria.

Transfer Students

We increased award amounts and opened our qualifications to more students.

Nonresidents

We added the Roo Nation Scholarship, which provides in-state tuition to U.S. residents who qualify.

Students eligible for both awards will receive the Chancellor's Historically Underrepresented Minority Nonresident award.

Newly enrolled nonresident undergraduate students that apply by January 15th (limited number available)

High school core GPA of 3.0 or above or Transfer GPA of 3.0 or above

Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Law students are not eligible.

Chancellor's Historically Underrepresented Minority Nonresident Award Nonresident tuition differential Undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students who identify themselves on the UMKC admission application as African-American, Hispanic or Native American
