Program Overview
The Professional Career Escalators Program (PCE) is a career preparation and leadership development program designed to help students land good-paying jobs after college. Participants in the program are eligible for one of these scholarship options.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Be an incoming student for the upcoming Fall Semester
- Be selected to participate in the PCE program
How Much is the Award?
- $1,500 per year toward tuition
OR
- $2,500 per year toward on-campus housing
Students may choose to receive either the tuition award or if they are staying in residence hall they can choose to receive the housing award. Students may only receive one of the two options listed above.
What Are the Requirements?
- Complete the UMKC application for admission
- Meet eligibility requirements
- Create and submit a five-minute or less video describing your history and experiences and how this program will help you.
- Submit a letter of recommendation
- Renew each year by maintaining a 2.5 or above overall GPA and completing each of the core Professional Career Escalators experiences.
- The award is renewable up to four years for first-time college students and two years for transfer students.
