Heartland Rate Estimates

2024-2025 Academic Year Heartland Rate Estimates

These tables illustrate the estimated cost of attendance for students from  Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas or Wisconsin.

The Heartland Rate is 150% of in-state tuition, which is a considerable discount from full tuition. Plus, students from these states may qualify for a  nonresident scholarship, such as Roo Nation, which makes up the difference between this rate and the in-state rate.

Each table includes cost information for one of our  academic program rates , listed in alphabetical order by school, and breaks out estimates for direct and indirect costs so you can easily compare what it may cost to live with a parent or guardian, off campus or on campus while pursuing your degree at UMKC.

Tuition and fee costs are based on enrollment in 28 credit hours for the Academic Year (Fall and Spring), except for dental hygiene, which is based on 34 credit hours.
